Lawve

Lawve

A Poem by Dana Marie

If you were the moon I'd gladly be a star,

shine by your side to a lower degree.

I'd be the sun and give you all of my light.

I'd be the sky and let your glow fulfill me.

But you want someone who will put you out.

You'll come running back again when you're doused.

If you were the sea I'd happily be the sand,

follow your movements wth no space in between.

I'd be the fish and swim to your every depth.

I'd be the tempest so we could cause a scene.

But you want some who will dry you up.

You'll come running back for more love to fill your cup.
