Heroes and Villains

Heroes and Villains

A Poem by Dana Marie

The fool is the man who went out on the limb

Dove off the platform not knowing how to swim

He's gasping for air

People marvel and stare

As more dive in

To the same fate as him

For the rest or themselves

They want to bring help

They want to be heros

They want to be gods in the eyes of the world

They fulfill something inside themself

By meeting dying wishes of those without help

They want to bring help

For better or for worse

Create the worlds course

By the act of whim

Though they can't even swim
