A Poem by Dana Marie

You beg for attention like a teetering suspension bridge

So willing to take the world down just for a moment in the spotlight

Paint yourself with out of style fashions like the hipsters in the magazines

Oh tell me is this outfit nonconformist, am I doing it right?

Just admit you're one of infinite

and nothing about you hasn't already been

life is recycled over and over

We're all just the products of the everchanging

Say nothing about you is original

You're a product of everything you've known

Piece by piece put together like a puzzle

until the edges erode, the pictures pucker and fold.
