damn...

damn...

A Poem by Jane Olivia Davis
"

what was seen....

"

she is staring at me again

her!

she!

with her looks of accusation

with her looks of judgement and disdain

i see her...

i pretend not to see her

our eyes lock

she is older than me

tired

worn

lines marking the path she chose

who?

who is she to fill me with such anguish

                             with such contempt

                             with such disappointment

she watches me

she shakes her head...

here again i see

this place you vowed to not return

this place you hate

this place you crave

she,

her,

looking on me...

again

watches as i ignore her face

watches as i become invisible...

with

that

damn

accusation

again!

i silently scream and open the medicine cabinet

shielding my eyes from

the

mirror

This was beautifully done! Maybe you should just let her b***h then listen to what she really has to say. As far as this piece goes, it flowed very well, and the last lines really stung. Of course, I loved it. Such a dark story. . . .
