patiently...

waiting for you...but you never came back

sitting here,

music playing softly, trying to listen, not really listening.

my heart beats slowly, filling me with the loneliness

  of the emptiness in the sound

desperate for you

longing for you

crying now,

  thoughts of you filling me with the endless feeling of

  being lost without you

i close my eyes to see your face,

memories of you become reflections in my tears

your voice echoes through me with every breath i take

music playing softly, listening now without trying,

  drowning out the loneliness in my heartbeat,

   filling my soul with the meaning behind the words that remind me of you

missing you,

  i brush the tears away and smile to myself

waiting here,

   my body filling with desire at the thought of your touch, burning for you,

   aching for you,

patiently,

i love you  

 

 and still, the music plays softly...
but i'm not really listening

Poem is beautiful. I dislike waiting for anyone. Time seem to go on forever. The kind words and sweet emotion made poem very good. A very good ending to a poem of desire and waiting for someone. A outstanding poem.
