a loner songA Poem by Dana Alsamsamhomage to my introversion
seldom worded
thorough observer curtain closer bedroom dweller losing myself in the pages of stories to forget that i must eventually write my own. cemetery frequenter wearer of dark colors lover of spooky things occasionally forgetting to speak as a mental fantasy engulfs reality. vinyl lover silent watcher star gazer mug collector taking comfort in the silence between musical phrases because the dynamics of a rest are just as important as the flagged notes scattering across a melody. intellect of a renegade philosopher soul of a poet disappearing easily into the background dreamer of destroyed dreams lifting me beyond this universe a scream in a world where the introvert is constantly silenced.
