Writer's Dissonance

Writer's Dissonance

A Poem by Dana Alsamsam
"

i met a boy.

"
I feel my bones collapse
Sweetly against my skin
Beneath your anomalous touch.

I'm a writer,
You say, alluring, daring me,
Inviting me in to your world.

You wrap your hand
Around the corner of my existence
Pull it in for a hug, and ask
Benevolently,

Can I take a look?

You didn't have to ask.
Your name burns softly
When I write it, feels
Light when spoken aloud.

I read your writing, and feel
My thoughts collapse
Into the consolatory wings of your own,
Undressing me with your words,
Caressing the dissonance in perfect syllables.

I think of your enchanting eyes,
Knock on the door of your being,
And say,

Come with me.

What you've described is the feeling we all the love the most in life, the one we try hardest to feel with another person. To read ones thoughts makes them a part of you, even if just for a moment. Adding this one to favs.

Beautifully written...just reading it flowed so well...the metaphors; the descriptions; and the essence of your soul...made a wonderful combination from heart to fonts. Lovely.

My pleasure. x
The sentiment is so plain, but the carefully chosen language is a bouquet that permeates inside the reader. It becomes the writer-reader sharing itself for some and seeing itself mirrored in others. Very nice write Dana.
