Homecoming: A Punky Bisexual Chronicle

Homecoming: A Punky Bisexual Chronicle

A Poem by Dana Alsamsam

Boys to the right, girls to the left

Exclaims the blonde suburban mom

Equipped with a camera

And Pepto Bismol colored lipstick.

I guess she doesn’t know

Any better, but I cringe

And turn bright red.

We’re both girls.

We look at each other,

And an awkward giggle

Escapes our mouths

As we escape to the car.

Gender roles, man. Gender roles.
