Buried

Buried

A Poem by Dana Ferguson

Buried in my pride
I lost my love inside

Paths overgrown
I go home all alone

Be sweet I wish I could
For someone who understood

What I took I have no more
Arriving at the door

It opens to blank spaces
No footsteps have left traces

And now I look no more

Still standing at the door
