Love Waits

Open but broken,

another love gone.

I cherished them all,

but something was wrong.

This burden I bear,

all alone.

But hope prevails,

future unknown.

Carry me there,

on love's gentle wings.

Maybe one day,

I'll soon be free.

I love the positivity of this piece. From the first line to the last, you put hope before regrets of the past and despite being hurt, show a willingness to treat people on their own merits, rather than carry these over into the next relationship. If only we were all as hopeful and forgiving, we would be living in a better world.
