Honesty

Clean and safe,

it releases the haze.

Lifting your heart,

it begins a new start.

Happy without a scratch,

binds no longer attached.

Without it is unhappiness,

constricted,

sick,

and mad.

Release the disease,

you may displease.

No matter who is listening,

your sanity craves a Christening.

Speak now and you'll see,

or forever lose your peace.

Superb. Love what you've done with this, the release of all those things we hold on to, clogging up our mind and thought processes. Release the disease, you may displease, but you certainly will feel that release. Love the last line.

Thank you :) I recently had to do this myself, and I feel some of the best things to write about are what is hard to think about or something that is currently eating away at me. I frequently think about Ernest Hemingway's quote, "Write hard and clear about what hurts." I like to think it gives my writing more meaning sometimes. You're welcome. I always feel writing something not only helps you focus and clarify matters for yourself, but once it is written, it is like it is filed in a part of the brain less prominent that where it was, giving some clarity and closure. It may not happen overnight, but little by little....
