I see you left a voicemail...

the third one this week. 

I didn't listen to it or the others,

I just pressed delete. 

I know I don't reply, 

and I'm sorry on some level, 

but mother understand...

I'm trying to be careful. 

You've taken so much from me. 

Made me feel like I'm crazy. 

How can I forgive you...

especially since you have not given an apology.

You see me as your baby, 

when I'm not around. 

And when we are together, 

you kick me to the ground. 

Lies, manipulations, 

I can't even believe when you say you love me.

Please mother, please....

just leave me be. 

Maybe in the future, we'll start to get along. 

Maybe in the future, you'll see what you did was wrong. 

But for now I am begging, 

don't bring me anymore pain. 

I can't stop from feeling it, 

and it's driving me insane.

severed ties can be a tough thing to deal with...
and at once, the ideal time for bringing out our writing abilities

when we write things out, it helps us to come to terms with things better

and this poem seems to be a good example of that

D.T. A very heart felt poem indeed. This is true expression, a very good piece of emotions. But don't give up on your Mother, everyone has their faults. Time heals all wounds but leaves scars. Forgiveness, what is sweeter than that? Love?
