Time Circus

Time Circus

A Poem by Liam

I'm thinking about you again,
Tossing around the thought of what we could have had.
I know that you've always had a place deep in the back of my mind,
I placed you there as a reminder of my past misjudgments.
But ever since your mother came and I let that known secret surface,
I can't stop myself from thinking about you.
It's my own fault because I gave you permission to surround myself by you,
Letting you into the media frenzy that I house my life in.
It's always in this order that I mess myself up,
I can't stand it and I can't stand you.
Truly, I am happy to be single and to live my life as I need to,
But I still can see a small future where my bags are packed and I'm waiting for you to come for me.
I feel like, since I had left you behind I had tried to hold onto you in different people,
And I come back to you when I didn't know I was going in circles in the first place.
Now, I've realized that I've waisted time on you,
I've waisted time on meaningless fools.
