A Poem by Liam

My lungs feel like dust.
I keep breathing in and out like a living thing must.
I cant feel my toes and my fingertips,
But it's not cold outside and the air is hot on my lips.
I throw my wishes, one by one, skyward.
I was on my second, but I'm now on my third.
I'm not sure that you can hear me,
But my shouting is setting this foundation free.
Don't be shaken or frightened by these thoughts that I've released.
It's only because the ones that listen closely are now deceased.
Stop asking me and making me cry,
It will never be on my face that the answers lie.
These tears are like never ending daggers that play over and over in my mind.
They won't let me go until peace is what I find.
Don't stay to hear me utter nonsense under my covers.
It's only dark secrets that you will discover.
