The Fallen

The Fallen

A Story by Suppressed Minds

As he stare out into the ocean, listening to the sounds of the waves, he begins to think to himself.

"Why am I even here. I spend all this time just looking for the perfect place to keep myself from going completely insane. Yet, I still find myself getting closer to it. Its something I can't escape. Its almost as if I'm trapped in a room with no doors. Why must I have to suffer like this?"

He began to lean over the edge.

"I wonder If I jump now, would it end everything or would I wake up only to find out that it was only a dream and that I'm still trapped." he said as he looked around.

"Who'd miss me? probably no one. they don't even care enough to send a message. Doubt if they ever will. They rather be with their friends than with me."

He began to climb the balcony railing and preparedto jump.

"This is it." he said as he took a deep. He sticks out a foot and lets go of the railing. As he begins to fall, he realizes he's made the wrong decision and attempts to grab the railing. He misses the railing and continues to fall-

"Damn So close."

He continued to fall and hit the ground below with a hard thud, ending the life that he once lived. Knowing he set himself free.
