InspirationA Poem by Dakota Jean
You are the single source of light in my life, spreading your warmth onto everything you touch, you inspired my whole existence. You are never too bright or too dark so I am not squinting at you or staring with eyes wide open. You shine just bright enough that I am able to make out your features clearly, though I could never replica the beauty. You give my sanity a place to bask and thrive, shrinking the madness that used to consume me. You are a source of inspiration that sends me hurdling throughout my day, eager to accomplish and move on. You are my sun, my moon, my God for each morning I will wake up basked in a halo of light that they used so much in those paintings of old. I now understand what the artists, the writers, the musicians say when they say they can't grasp the concept correctly. You can't personify the universe. But somehow I'm looking at you.
