A Poem by Dakota Jean

Your face seems to write me into submission, taking every meaningful word out of my vocabulary so that I may not be able to describe how you make me feel. No longer able to write about your beauty, only seeing snippets of how I see you in swarms of birds that crowd the trees. I use movies to convey how I feel because for once in my life I am lost for words in your presence.
I showed you Blue is the Warmest Colour so that hopefully you'd get the idea that a blue haired painter was in love with you and could guide you into discovering your true potential. I knew you wouldn't fall short as Adele did. I knew you'd blossom right along with me.
I showed you Notting Hill because it was the only way to say how I feel around you, as you are the worlds most wonderful and beautiful, so extraordinary, and I am some simple being hiding behind a house with a blue door.
I may never have the words to explain to you how I feel, even if I learned all the languages in the universe, none hold the words that I want to tell you to make everything as picture perfect as you are.
