She

She

A Poem by Dakota Jean

You are no longer everything.
You have long since fallen from the pedestal I set you on high above the clouds.
You are no longer my god.
My writings of your essence have sighed into a whisper like the ones I hear when I'm with you.
You will no longer be my day, my night, my dusk.
You are just another.

She has replaced you in my sketchbook.

Very beautiful and heartfelt. I especially love the finishing line. Very creative. Strange how quick people are able to replace others, huh?
