Shooting Stars

Shooting Stars

A Poem by Dakota Jean

My tears traced your collarbones today
And as I was watching them fall
They looked like little shooting stars
If I could have wished upon them
Maybe
Maybe we’d finally be happy

This reminded me of the final moments of a relationship after two people have realized how broken they've really become and made each other. Very powerful words and imagery you portray. We all have our wishes and hopes. Love is no fairytale...but we all must make the best of it.
