I'm more of a poet, softly spokenA Poem by Dakotah Bledsoe
i look down as if i've got nothing to smile for
the past is ever present and the lie is what you stand you for i crossed the path with many souls but i didn't know is that we met according to the feeling that lets you feel uncomfortable, untouchable and in the in the end you feel it too so take the crown as the fool the primary pawn in this game of chess protect your queen
sacrifice the less nothing is important unless there's something more to gain i can call out your name but your addicted to the game who's to blame were all dashing for the finish line with a fake smile ive been there too many times you loved me for the night but by the end you forget what its like to recite unless im just too touchy or all too weird but i was there when nobody else was near not that im gone just i hope i put you in a song the daylight creeps as i lose my sleep thinking about you and me every warning every implication said i wont get attached but thats a lie and i cant think bad about you this is life too much to be had and im picking off the scabs when the past is the present and the present is the past look into the skies seeing eye to eye rearranging the clouds that form the night let it fall on your face as we forget this place life is hopefully unworthy but i was assured it was lovely and every single soul and every life i touched was the bottom of the chemicals that slowly start to rust then combust but who am i to trust when a life is a curse and noone understands unless you fake a smile fake a stand fake to be a man im a winner © 2013 Dakotah Bledsoe |
