Miss L.N.J.

Miss L.N.J.

A Story by Dakotah Bledsoe

Now let me tell you about this girl I know
she was 5'5'' carried a smile
everywhere she goes
She hit me up for an 8th.
but what I didn't know
is she was stylin' from her head
to her toe.
When she arrived it was clear that I was paralyzed
had my girl trippin'
but couldn't take her off my eyes.
She had that intellect so I had
to come direct
and I meant no disrespect
when I asked
girl how you keep a smile like that?
and that's when she said....

Not another day passed
I was scheming for a chance.
Then my cell rang, hey? what it do?
she even looked me up on that facebook too.
I said not  damn thing, in fact I got a little LSD
now i know you aint a fiend
but
you tryna trip with me?
she says hell yeah
I got a couple dollars on the tab
I was posted in the lab
then the next thing I knew
She was comin' through
ditching school
so wee had to peep the zoo.
arriving at a quarter past two.
we were at the museum
and she knew what to do.
We was chillin
feeling the vibe
just studying art
from the start
I could tell
this was going to end well
I wasn't tryna hit
in fact
i was confident
on the fact I was making
a new friend.
we both got hit
with that feeling that you get
when you start to trip.
I look over and amazed
I watched in daze
as she lit up
took a smile
and then said out loud.....

What a good day
I guess one could say
that this wasn't some
chick tryna put me on chain
We talked about life
shared our stories all night.
I could tell she felt inspired
but that kind of insight.
and all I am tryna say
that to this very day
me and miss L.N.J.
keep it real tight.
Peace.
