ACCOMMODATIONS

A Poem by dakarai
"

Anything that supplies a need, want, favor, or convenience.

"
Alienated along Lucky Street,
Convenient for my unfortunate route,
Compounded by the pain that followed suite,
Outside, I stood in line on weary feet.
Metal detectors were waiting to greet
Me, as the security remained mute.
Overwhelmed, I submitted to the brute,
Detained by the Salvation Armies fleet.
ADAPT and SURVIVE! SURVIVE and ADJUST
To anything that would supply a need.
Instead of faith, my adjustments had trust.
Open rooms showed rows of bunk beds that lead
Nobody to a sound sleep; the sad must
Sleep the sleep of the homeless whose hearts bleed.

I love how you started the poem.

Very clever.

That line is a brilliant one to end this in my opinion. I, again, think this rhymes really well, and i think you've got a great skill with your writing. Keep going! Good job.
