if i were straight

if i were straight

A Poem by man-in-coat

If i were straight

Would you love me with whole heart

Would you see me as an equal

Would you see me on my wedding day

would you say he is cute

If i were straight

Cause right now

It feels as if the choice of whom

i like makes me an enemy

As if i was a witch in a christian community

Burn me with words and light me ablaze as i scream that i’m the same as you

And just the sight of me makes you gag

I can walk around the house

Do my chores and even talk a great game

But as soon as you see me hand in hand

With that man

Its like you just snap

Grabbing my arm and when i get home

Beatings

new cuts appear,covering pain

And bracelets covering them

If i were straight

Would it be the same

Intense anger hidden within people that just deserve to be loved. This is incredibly true and filled with pain of being alone and not understood. There should be no difference. I see not only your point but also the grace of the words. Love this!

thank you it means alot
Anger and sadness war within me as I write this review and struggle to find words. I think hate is not logical. We need to learn we are all on this journey together.
