The beauty and oneness of life and death. Its a journey where you sleep only to wake upto yourself and realize that you are born again. :)
My face is a book of thousand words,
some known yet unknown to me;
And the rest?
The rest is just a silent smile,
woven out of a million dreams...
With age it unfolds,
certain mysteries untold;
Thousands known yet one unknown...
My face is a book of thousand words.
And now the wrinkles,
traversed the trodden path,
round the chin to the temple;
And now and then,
and here and there,
the withered age thus describes-
"My face is a book of thousand words,
one known and yet thousands unknown..."
TO DEATH: one mile to go
FROM LIFE: thousand words to know
I like the way you describe the face as a sort of involuntary diary. Every wrinkle, every cavity tells a story and they accumulate over time.
In the past I've gotten to speak to lots of old people and hear their stories, so this poem definitely speaks to me!

the thousand words speak of many delights in this life but only one word shows the way to go, a word though we cannot hear it comes from within, has no form as we know it, we experience thru bliss, consciousness, existence combined, we search forever out only to miss the truth within, excuse me if i'm diverted here Daisy, i found your poem most inspiring thank you for such a lovely work :)

Glad meeting you Richard! I look forward to hear from you again :)
I love the introductory words - how true how true - - -
I like this very much for it is so true we know and yet we also don't know so much -- we choose to see things but are we seeing them as they are or perhaps just the way we wish to see things --
a silent smile woven out of a million dreams and those million dreams, well aren't they the true companion of life itself - for are we not all here as a mere expression of life bursting with energy in the here the now until we leave this body and flow on
you words leave me pondering - I like that XX

I like the journey in the poetry. I like the faces of the old people. The faces can tell a story of their life.
