Chapter Twenty Seven: Goodbye Trevor

Chapter Twenty Seven: Goodbye Trevor

A Chapter by Daisy Moon

“Bess, we need to talk…”

Well, that doesn’t sound good, at least not by the tone of his voice. I wonder what he’s up to or what he’s thinking.

“Bess, I know that I said that I’d help you out but I only said that because I needed to buy some time before I could make it over here. I wouldn’t ever actually hurt someone much less brutally murder them! I also know that you wouldn’t ever do that either and I needed to see you face to face to tell you this, but Bess, you can’t kill them.”

I didn’t interrupt him because I thought maybe he’d give a better excuse for his lies than the fact that he just blatantly lied. Fine, I’ll give him one more chance but if he can’t encourage you as he should then we must rid of him, too.

No, we don’t have to kill him per say but he does need to be removed from our lives. We can’t have you spending your life with a liar. It’s one thing to shove your penis into an inanimate object, another thing to lie!

“Bess, this isn’t you. I know that life took a massive turn for you, what with your dad in prison and your mom running off with your life savings and you living here with your controlling, demanding grandfather but this, this isn’t you. You’re not a cold blooded killer.”

Please don’t tell me that you are buying this? Sure, maybe you aren’t a killer but it doesn’t change the fact that this is your last resort, doesn’t he know that?

What other choice do I have?

“Bess, you don’t have to kill your family to run away from them.”

Is he insane? Running away without a dime is foolish. Doesn’t he read? All the run aways in all the stories I’ve ever read ended up both doing drugs and prostituting and we can’t have you end up like your mother. He is an idiot, dump him Bess, and dump him now!

Jesus Bess, don’t cry. Just man up and get rid of him, he’s in our way and he’s trying to control you just like everyone else. He wants to make your decisions for you, he’s not accepting of who you are and he doesn’t love every part of you. If he can’t encourage you then he’s got to go.

Trevor, this is the only option that’s going to make me feel better. I need to do this and if you can’t stand with me then it’s over.

Good girl, I’m proud of you. Go on, it’s okay to cry now. Release the emotion that will stand in your way of your plan, rid of all that pain so that you can release the anger that will follow.

“Bess, I’m not going to sit here and watch you ruin your life so I guess it’s over.”

Good ridden, you worthless a*s! Don’t even sweat it Bess, he wasn’t worth it. Remember what’s important and that is completing this task and finding your happiness, away from all those that try to tear it away from you.

“Bess…”

Don’t look at him, only listen. Keep your eyes glued to the floor Bess. Don’t you dare look up, hold your ground.

“I will always love you and if you come to your senses, please call me and I’ll come right over and help you choose a better path to our paradise…”

It’s okay Bess, he’s a real loser. Give it some time and he’ll walk back through that door or at least the one that you’ll be hiding behind once all this mess is over with.
