Caution: Love is Dangerous

Caution: Love is Dangerous

A Poem by Daisy Moon

I wrote this haiku about my guy best friend that made me realize where my heart truly belonged; and that that was all he was ever going to be and that I was okay with it. Because finally I accepted myself, completely in my search for love when I admitted that it was her that I wanted, not none of the men I had been chasing after.

you made me realize
the cold, hard truth, that is love
for that, I give thanks

Sometimes love fools you
believing something is real
without the details

with physical love
you can get lost in passion
believing, not truths

reality, gone
actuality, confused
love now distorted

there is but one love
that will be everlasting
the one you should seek

mistakes lead you there
but the heart does not always
be cautious of this
