Goodbye to DecemberA Poem by HebeWintry blues on my mind...Adios December pumpkin spice left nostalgia on my lips leaves floating on chilled words leaving the mother tree branches brown and brittle clear sap drizzling down the crusted bark one frozen tear drop at a time your stature straight and ridged facing the Icy North wind logic prevails, in your quest for moving on our hopes evaporate into this frigid cosmos and you, always so calm words roll and soar jagged and artic like a sweep of a scarf on the wintry breeze the seriousness of your announcement unfolding I'm so glad your happy, I whispered my strange voice sounded too eager the words ascended slowly, helped by two angel wings I placed my hand on the trunk to grasp the totality of it all I could feel the carved hearts and arrows etched in the wood you once were my knight! your amour twinkling in the moonlight tonight you stand emotionless, a perfect stranger defeat lies like a rock in the pit of my stomach I'll see you around then...I said I felt the loneliness seep up through the cold, wet, damp ground as I trace the carved heart with my frozen finger © 2017 HebeReviews
