None Discript

A Poem by Hebe
"

Who controls who?

"

The confusion is none too familiar

Staring into nothing

correction "nothing is something"

staring at silence

the pause between the world and you

mind racing

spewing gregarious thoughts

teetering on the ridiculous

touching imaginary scenes that don't really exist

they like to foil our consciousness

addicted to mind games

as we wander in a maze of barbed wire

starring at my finger

that's reality cause I can see it

To quote Robin Williams, "Reality, what a concept!" I'm a transcendentalist myself; believing everything has meaning that transcends mere existence. There is a reason for this and purpose in it...that's the mantra I live by. Finding the meaning and purpose of everything in life is not necessary but we shouldn't be blind to lessons right in front of us, either. I enjoyed this stroll into the surreal. F.

Well to begin with, there is surely more to these words than at first meets the eye... From the eye catching and intriguing title, right through to the very last T in it we have both a perceptual struggle and a conceptual struggle going on. Well at least we do from a personal point of view.....Existentialism was never my favourite topic, or rather school of thought. However came across it often when working within psychiatry.. Occasionally though adopting an existential stance can be safer than taking an acid tab or being hit hard on the back of the head with a black stocking filled with dried butterflies droppings. Nuff said, I enjoyed this Hebe, I really did.......................All Good Things, Neville

Food for thought, do we exist in the here and now or are we locked in the subconscious of our minds? do things really exist or are they just a figment of your imagination?? Nice write

Thank you ..... I think we exist in thought mostly :)
Intersring ideas. Felt like a metaphysical jaunt into non- being.

Liked this line

the pause between the world and you

Is that space feeling? Is it than truly empty?

Loved the barbed wire maze. Wow. Great image that captures the danger and perilous journey

wow. so deep and philosophical. thought provoking. which comes first - chicken or egg? do we shape our reality or does reality shape us? sometimes we overthink things. we can be prisoners of our own thoughts or rise above. that 'barbed wire' can get us hung up for sure. we can be our own worst enemies. i like what you did what this. nice creative piece, a little different for you. great pic. way to go Hebe!
