Snow Queen

Snow Queen

A Poem by Hebe

I feel the crispness of the snow, under my feet

my eyes reach the icy blue sky

infused crimson and yellow tones, that strike the heavens

and the mountains whisper in my ears

I am limitless, I am complete

come, come to my plateau and I can show you the spectacles of nature

I am a crystal snowflakes, feel the pearls melt between your fingertips

I am a snowdrift, I am powdered snow

I am many things

I struggle to reach the top and the wind pushes me with gusto

it swirls and blows, teasing me

I feel its bluster, the chill reaches my bones

it’s wailing provoking laughter, I am chaos, I am a cyclone

meet me at the top, if you dare!

I strive to reach the shelter of the Evergreens

their magnetic silhouette shape the skyline

they are dressed in white crystal gowns

dancing princesses in white snow

I rest for a while, until I feel the branches

pushing me gently skyward

go they murmur, you need to reach the top

the climb is steep and the clouds descend upon me

swirling mist envelops me

touching my face and breathing in my ear

I am rain, I am a summer shower, I am a monsoon

keep climbing you are almost there

Suddenly the mist disappears and rays of sunlight

open the door to the majestic view at my feet

breathtaking, I fall to my knees in gratitude

and hear my own voice reveal the reason I took this journey

I am worthy, I am deserving, I am divine

I am one with natures perfection.

'Snow Queen'
Hebe,
The parts of nature experience take on a living life force of character. Your climbing hike is a hike done with everything around you in creation. I surly could identify for Iv'e done that myself. Oh how humanity needs to be part of this wonderful outside world and escape for just a while our busy lives. Thanks for sharing your hike with all of us.
Blessings
Kathy

Wow! I loved reading this. The imagery you used was so vivid I felt like I was reaching my beauty peak. (how amazing would that be?)
As usual, I loved reading this just as much as the rest of your work. I can't quite decide which is my favorite because they're all just so so good :)

:) thanks Pete. So happy you enjoyed it.
I love the Winter/Snow imagery, it's deftly incorporated into the visuals. Almost seems like a concept of your potential, reaching its highest peak. The Nature elements that you use are described in beautiful detail.

Trying to reach that height may be difficult but not impossibel if you just keep trying your hardest.

"I rest for a while, until I feel the branches
pushing me gently skyward
go they murmur, you need to reach the top
the climb is steep and the clouds descend upon me
swirling mist envelops me" - Very vividly beautiful line!

Sounds to me like an Ode to Life, to keep going no matter what happens to you. Also the title is imaginative and aptly named.

Good work, Hebes! :)

Thank you again for your insightful review ..:)
Wow - vivid is an understatement. The images which you presented felt so.... REAL. I feel like I have been taken on a mini adventure between man and mother nature. The feeling of being satisfied when reaching the peak felt like the man had conquered the unconquerable - this was again another satisfying and quality read. Not just because it was well written, but because of the way in which you painted the whole picture - it was like a hand came out of the painting and dragged me right into the scene itself.

Kudos - Plenty of it too.

Mark.
