I want a diamond

am I being demanding? ....perhaps

you proclaim to love me

 but you just cast a shadow over everything

I want fine dining

 a chandelier, an embroidered napkin even 

 I think I deserve this treatment

Oh you think I have an attitude? 

how about a cherry in my champaign

a menu of gastronomic delights 

peacock, pheasant, turnip and potatoes yes that sounds very fine

I know I'm being difficult 

but you have never offered me anything ever

not even a flower as a romantic guesture

but none of that matters now

"Straight shootin' Son of a Gun" is what comes to my mind. I was watching the Tutors and the Elizabeth series on Nflx and your imagery reminds me of the times of Kings and Queens.
