Sleep Well

He gave me the butterflies

I haven't felt in a while

By just hearing him say "hey:)"

I couldn't help but smile

 

My mind was off in Wonderland

Like Alice and the Hatter

We took things slowly to start

But to us it didn't matter

 

I happily took his compliments

And everyone could see

That there was nothing I liked more

Than the thought of him and me

 

But the romance started to fade

We started talking less and less

The butterflies started to flutter away

And things became a mess

 

But I kept on making the effort

That much was plain to see

I did the best I could

He just wouldn't talk to me

 

He broke my fragile heart

Broke it like broken glass

But I guess that these things happen

These feelings will slowly pass

 

I hope that he sleeps well tonight

Because I doubt I will

But I do know that eventually

My heart will not be ill

"Broke it like broken glass" This line is redundant, because broken glass is already broken. Maybe try "shattered it like glass"?

I recognize the emotion here. I've written my share of poems that were more necessity than creativity (not that this wasn't creative. It's very personal.) Being Aquarius as well, I know that it's in our nature to view these events as abstract pieces in a much bigger puzzle of self realization. Keep writing.
