Red TrailA Poem by Jenny-Jen-JenWatching as your own Broken Night's turn to Better Tomorrow's. A poem about finding yourself and HOPE, through moments of weakness.Red Trail
Broken nights, filled with hallucinogenic visions; A taunting game of fears and doubt. My only company -- the demons who dance, Wildly across my reoccurring dreams. Peace; a forgotten town in my mind, The neon signs, no longer welcoming. My heart, just a lonely accomplice, To the artists who move across the sky -- With a flicker of light. Forcing laughter and faking beautiful smiles; Shields of paper are crumbling. With red trails, scarring porcelain skin, Is the creation of abandonment -- a frequent visitor. And it seems hope is lost. But, though a storm is rising, And these walls are shattered now, Belief in hope has once again evolved. Brighter days are in store, tomorrow; The best of me -- yet to come. Crimson lakes will find their drought, Turmoil seas, soften out. And when the morning light breaks the sky, The broken nights will be long forgotten. © 2011 Jenny-Jen-JenAuthor's Note
