Slam Poetry.... I had these emotions that I felt needed to be expressed.

Distance.

It comes between us and destroys our…

Our what?

You say you care…

You made me believe that this is where you wanted to be.

Right here, with me...

In this scene.

Well I’ve got a scene for you.

Reality.

I’m here, you’re there.

We’re miles apart.

And that’s never going to change.

You’ve got what you want.

Someone to toy with when you need to let go of your pain…

I’m just another punching bag.

Well I’m through.

You’re not going to use me anymore.

I won’t let you.

You want to know why?

I’m stronger than that…

I don’t need you, but you’ll soon find… yeah, you do need me.

Who are you going to punch now?

Punch the wall; break your hand…

Realize that the pain you think you feel…

It’s not comparable to the pain you inflict upon me.

I won’t play the victim anymore.

So stop playing the villain.

Don’t you see?

It only results in…

In this.

A goodbye.
