Looking BackA Poem by Phillip FrancisLooking
back, I only try to glance. I find
it difficult, as I'm continuously caught in a trance. My past
haunts me. Faces
swim around my brain. Significant
encounters that changed my way of thinking. A
constant battle, I yearn to move forward. I desire
change, demanding a new vision, Searching
for the answers to forget my petty crimes. The
answer is in forgiveness, I need to give myself a break. No
longer feeling guilty or differential to my actions. My eyes gently
open, revealing light at the end of the tunnel. No more
looking back, consuming positivity through a funnel. © 2016 Phillip FrancisReviews
