Without YouA Poem by Phillip FrancisAbruptly woken from a sound sleep. Absorbing terror. Perspiration floods my brow. Hard to breathe, without you.
Days drag on, nights never ending. Senselessly traveling through mundane tasks. A walking corpse. Purpose escapes me, without you.
Mind reeling, body stagnant. Dismayed heart, lacking essence. Plagued soul, flawed courage. Terrified of moving forward, without
you.
Hallucinations conquer reality. Another cog in the wheel. Desire fleeting as civilization
evolves. Existence is meaningless, without
you.
Attempts to persevere are futile. Inadequate effort precedes continuous
oversight. Excuse my demeanor. I can't go on, without you. © 2016 Phillip FrancisReviews
