Liberation of the Beloved

Liberation of the Beloved

A Poem by Phillip Francis
"

I'm not a religious man, nor is this a religious piece. My hope is that each reader takes their own perspective and takes a second to be thankful their source of support.

"

Days turn to nights, faces change,

still you remain the same.

Dependable for love and support,

no judgement when you sense my shame.

Longing for fortitude, hunting for blessings,

I scream out your name.

Alone, deserted, helpless, resentful

hope was nearly lost, that's when you came.

Submit to gratitude, it's going to get better,

believe in me, is what you claim.

Things improved, settings further peaceful,

feeling content, an animal, now tame.

Forever indebted, with a thankful heart,

I worship our eternal flame.

The repetition of rhyme works very well, kind of accentuates a sort of heartbeat. I haven't had the chance to read any other of your poems yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Even your titles and intriguing.

This is absolutely beautiful. It is amazing what true love can do for a soul, though heartbreaking to know the damage to a soul is so easily brought on. You tug at the strings of the readers hearts as they feel the devastation as well as the uplift. Great Job!
