![]() Battling AngstA Poem by Phillip Francis![]() I suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I decided to to right a short piece during a recent panic attack.![]()
Anarchy reeks havoc inside my soul.
Once steady hands tremble beyond control. My chest aches, sensibility is extinct. Body and mind argue, no longer linked. Throat begins to close, difficult to inhale. Forehead dripping sweat, my skin has turned pale. Dread conquers intellect. Confidence has been wrecked. Attempt to regulate your mind. Not an easy procedure, just a never ending grind. "This is not real" I plead with my brain. "Take a deep breath, you're not going insane." Now it's time to change the course. To rid yourself of this feeling, you need to find the source. Settle down and count to three. Repeat these words, "Relaxation is the key." © 2016 Phillip FrancisFeatured Review
