A Single Snowflake

A Single Snowflake

A Poem by Ben Taylor
"

It's time for winter. :)

"
The perfect cooling of the seasons,
The swirl of snow,
The gusts of frosted window panes
And sparkling lights--
As the world around me freezes,
Something inside of me warms in
Anticipation.
Summer is in need of de-stagnation--
Winter, come quickly.

The unpredictable Ben Taylor; actually, I suppose, it should be the versatile Ben Taylor--since it's perfectly acceptable to take contrasting views in different works of art.
While I like and appreciate this poem very much, I'm wondering why a "single" snowflake? It doesn't seem to fit--unless, perhaps, one were to take it as some sort of statement regarding your current personal status. Not at all sure about that, though.
(Oh, and check out that third line, Ben. It could be clearer.)
Again, a well-done, quite refreshing little offering.
