Inhale And AwakeA Poem by Ben TaylorSummer :DThe rustle of leaves Sprinkles playful shadows Amidst the slant and shimmer Of morning light. The birds of sunrise Chirrup their songs of awakening, Bourne aloft by a susurrus Undercurrent of billowing breeze. Branches sway in salutary stretches, Dappling the lawn beneath them With the shreds of night-time They have now shrugged away. Summer is here, At last.
