ACT

ACT

A Poem by Ben Taylor
"

Short and sweet. :P

"
Tears of
Concentration
Bleed
From my
Skin
As I
Blacken
The expanse
Of elliptical
Eyes
That appraise
Me,
Determining
My worth.

Took the ACT again today. For anyone who doesn't live in the U.S., this is basically a "college preparedness" exam that covers all subjects and is necessary to qualify for a huge majority of scholarships.

Having taken the ACT decades ago, I have to say you pinned that feeling of all those little eyes staring back at you. Judging you. Every word here is used to great effect Ben. Another well done piece :)

I suspect that this piece is precise in its description; I know it is dead-on in its assessment.
An old relative once advised me about school: learn all you can; use what you must; forget most of it. I found it to be valuable advice.
Love this little poem; love it most because, to me, it drips of sarcasm.

Ahhh... luckily I haven't taken this yet. This just made me want to take it even less. Haha. Nice work.
