Salem

Salem

A Poem by Ben Taylor

the sun felt somehow
more substantial
the thick puffball-piles
of a fierce summer
the great boats of cumulous
driven by whiplash winds
as they sailed I would race
their shadows,
two wheels
and I was happy

I was happy
