Her Love

Another older one. That i'm putting up.

Her love is like heavy rain drops,

nourishing the flowers but destroying their tops

and as the plant breaks away the vulnerabilities underneath are revealed,

and any hopes i had of a soul mate are killed

thats when im left to search for another, a new love

but i now know i can never truly find, here or the stars above

my feeble attempts fluttering like a caged bird

singing sweet songs that are really unrequited words

and i continue to float.
