From LoveA Poem by shedevill come from love, white and thick delivered, taken by choice or a weakend spirit producing an small, fragile mistake
i come from coffee skin nursing, holding, struggling to let go, longing to push away with unforgettable hands
i come from shifting hazel eyes and the infectious thump of congas as the tear is shed for Lucky whose luck ran out
i come from the cracked gravel roads of puerto rico, where chickens and wild dogs run between shopping booths each with its own solar system
i come from Rayne's school boy voice and keith urban sensual twang, vibrating off the simple white walls of my bedroom as Woodie Ou Bear c***s his head to listen to his mama's voice repeat
"i've always been the kind to never let my feelings show"
i come from central ave, where Dutch dries on a fresh grey stoop, my head resting on thick, black, warming fur listening ti the steady thump of his heart, listening as long as i can
i come from Budwiser, Heineken and a scattered bottle of pills, sliver tongues, quick hands and police sirens, for a blue faced sister who never learns
i come from a generation afraid to live outside of yesterday self centered, more concerned with what goes on their bodies, instead of in their mind rejecting the difference that makes each of us special
i come from Buddha, God, Nyx Zeus, Hates, Fenris, Shiva, Kali and Pyro
i come from the never ending ripple effect, made by our decisions and choices
