~Fiddler Crabs~

Nothing between us

But an Ocean of Love.

We skip down to it,

Laughing

Heart in Heart.

Out of the corner

of my "bicycle eye"

wanting glances

tiny lingers on the breast

knowing within your Heart dwells.

And we Break!

running from the deafening roar

and soft warm foam

approaching as landslide

up sandy shore.

We,

scampering away to dune

like fiddler crabs,

to hide in unseen cavern,

as each wave shatters on glass

only to return to the sea,

Erasing

Happy footprints....

and the Fiddlers rise again.

I've never seen fiddler crabs mentioned in a love poem but in this case its a great metaphor, one that makes me smile as I read this piece....it transports me to surf and sunlight....nicely done.
