Ode to Lady Slippers

Ode to Lady Slippers

A Poem by dEj

ode to Lady Slippers ~ a poem for J!

Cutting through the dawn mist,
Entering darkened forest vast,
Wandering in the quietude.
Solitude so divine,
Time stood still,
and dared not pass.

Wandering through bramble and thorn,
Clothing snagged,
But heart untorn.
I come upon a clearing
where sunbeams are born.

And miracle to my eye did appear,
A place the wood nymphs did surely play.
In my quiet tramplings,
I did certainly frighten them away.
but vision of visions,
behind their Slippers  did lay!

It's a beautiful thought. I got a little tripped up by the form.
