A Joy

A Joy

your every word
a single stroke
of hummingbirds wing

together inflight
they sing
and the hum
becomes a roar

Simple truths and simple beauty are the things which haunt me and which I also find most profound. I have heard the roar or hummingbirds. I purposely plant things which attract them and butterflies and they come in tiny roaring armies. This poem made me think of such times and I can do nothing but smile at the remembrance of them.

Such beauty that comes out of a few words! A delightful comparison of words and a single stroke of a hummingbird. Great work!
