Title Fight for My Life

Title Fight for My Life

A Story by John D. Devoe
"

Just a little story about life boxing and a bright future

"
Even when you think you've lost grip in life, what we do not know is any one of us can keep hanging on as long as we truly want too. Furthermore, the only way you fall down is once you've given up on getting back up and keep fighting;
life seems like a boxing match, the need for determination, foundation, and the will never to stay down. Often your opponent in the ring with you is yourself, other times it can be a situation you're stuck in.
Either way, you just gotta keep getting up and keep fighting, and regardless of what the scorecards say any of, when round 12 is over and you preserved to the end, you win no matter what.
Our willpower keeps us fighting, our sense of faith keeps us from lying on that dirty ground in the moonstruck, unpredictable, insane title fight that's life.
Now I can only speak from experience, every match is different, but we all are have something worth fighting for, and people who depend we never stop fighting.
For me, I'm ready for the next fight, and for when that time comes in which I'm fighting for something greater than myself, and won't stop until I repay the unconditional love I have received from my family, friends, and my community that never wrote me off even when the odds seemed unbeatable.
I guess I feel deep down in my heart somewhere that feeling I had when I was a pastel wearing-overconfident-life loving lax player with the hemp necklace and spent every minute enjoying life and trying to make everyone around me just as care free. In hindsight, part of who I was lead to to where I am, but today is the day I choose the joy I was always abundant with as well as learn, leave behind, and let go of the negativity that clouded my happiness.
Today is round one of the next fight of my life, and it won't be the last but this boxer has his swagger back and it's never going away again. Thank the Lord I never stayed down long enough to forget who I am, and that I never give up.
I don't think any of us know the secret of life or its purpose until we reach our next one, but wherever the road takes me I'll have my gloves ready, and it's gonna be one hell of a fight.
