Forever

Forever

A Poem by Pale Divine

Touch me with your tears of sadness, let me drown in your rivers of all my forgotten dreams. I can not touch the warmth of your soul, nor can I hold the fire that awakens my very being. I long to be and yet it seems I can not, I stay here with you for how long God only knows. Sometimes you call me sometimes its just a voice in the wind, no summer sun to warm my face, it does not exist only winter tears fall like rain and bring me closer to you.
Forever I am forgotten, forever I am not alive in you anymore.
Turn back the pages of all my lonely years and yet you are the ghost that still haunts me, if I ran to you would you have waited for me. Each day brings me closer to the end of hope and promises that once were alive in me, each day I take as walking on egg shells, never to let you see the bleeding heart that still thinks of you and I forever in our paradise. My bride to be is but a dream, my sweet salvation that is you it seems a mockery. In my youthful eyes I saw you walk across the sky taking my hand and showing me what lies beyond now and forever.
Have I at last written my last, have you gone with the last flight of fall and the leaves they fall from your eyes still and remind me of what becomes of you and I. Forever is forever was, forever will be just I it seems.....
