I question itA Poem by Pale Divine* I question it* My disbelief is my faith in the children of Eve. They walk alone building walls instead of bridges to keep the pain away. Blind faith takes us by the hand, as racist souls drown in seas of isolation. Reasons to exist, are just reasons to bring the misery upon us all. Useless prayers to an angry sky, am I my brother’s keeper? Love and hate entwine, come and walk the sorrow path with the reaper. I am man I am condemned I am sorrow, I am fallen. I question it. I wear quite well these chains of sin, they comfort me knowing I am part of you and the sky. Blessed are the children of Eve, how blind we have become walking away from the light of our destiny. Perchance to dream of Eden, we lost our way so long ago the garden. In darkness we crawl closer to the light. Only to hide our fear of you and I. Laughter comes to drown the thought of death, sometimes life is not worth the awakening of our souls. A touch of sorrow to those who fail to see beyond the façade, dreaming evil, its part of you even if you think you can touch the face of God. Tomorrow comes so quickly as shadows become yesterday on the winds of time.
