Bride of Solitude

Bride of Solitude

A Poem by Pale Divine

*Bride of solitude*

Images of a world I once knew, still dance inside my dreams.

The fear of you and all that is, sketch dark valleys of my primal reality.

Now I lay me down to sleep, releasing all my pain and misery.

The distance cries of solitude and all that remains.

Only her distance voice sings me to sleep, as she haunts me in my dreams.

She who is my bride until the day I die, and once again touch the sky.

She is my bride of solitude, a faithful friend. She walks along with me through this forsaken land.
